Meghan Trainor and Jonas Brothers Among the Victors at the 2023 Streamy Awards

The ceremony honored the Internet culture's history, current trends, and upcoming prospects.
The 2023 Streamy Awards welcomed pop sensations Meghan Trainor and the Jonas Brothers into the ranks of winners on Sunday (August 27). This edition of the awards ceremony commemorated the Internet culture’s evolution across time, embracing its past, present, and future.
The renowned singer of “All About That Bass,” Meghan Trainor, achieved a remarkable milestone by being honored as the Rolling Stone Sound of the Year winner for the first time. While accepting the award, Trainor delivered a heartfelt acceptance speech, taking a moment to acknowledge her children, including her recently born baby.
Trainor secured the victory for her track “Made You Look,” recognized for its extraordinary influence on content creation throughout social media platforms and its deep resonance within popular culture, according to representatives.
“Made You Look” achieved its peak last year at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it also secured the top position on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart. The song’s prominence on social media platforms, particularly TikTok, was boosted by Trainor’s son Riley. This track, featured in Trainor’s album “Takin It Back,” gained even more attention as it coincided with her announcement of expecting her second child.

Meanwhile, at the Streamy Awards, the trio of Kevin, Jon, and Nick Jonas triumphed in the crossover category.
The night’s performers included viral hip-hop artist Armani White, delivering a medley of “Billie Eilish” and “Silver Tooth,” and Swedish dance-pop duo Icona Pop, who rocked the stage with their punk-infused hit “I Love It” from 2012, alongside their new single “Fall In Love.”
Among the recipients of multiple Streamy Awards were Fanum (breakout streamer, lifestyle), Kai Cenat (streamer of the year, lifestyle), MrBeast (creator of the year, collaboration), and Vivienne Medrano (animated, Streamys creator honor).
The Streamy Awards, organized by Dick Clark Productions and Tubefilter, took place in Los Angeles, honoring content creators across diverse categories such as beauty, comedy, food, gaming, music, podcasts, and sports. The event was hosted by MatPat, a recipient of the Streamy Award on seven occasions.
Dick Clark Productions is a subsidiary of Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation (PMC) and Eldridge. PMC stands as the parent company of Billboard.
